603 - Brief 02 - Tester Flyer

Off the back of my recent After Effects pattern experiments, I decided to try and develop these further - with the intention of getting a little tester show going so I can actually test the outputs created so far on the market and see how we can adapt and develop the direction.

Using the repeated rotation experiment I began to think about how I could loop this to play seamlessly (or atleast just back and forth) for use on socials such as Facebook and Instagram. 

I started duplicating and layering up the design - but applied a different colour to each to accentuate the trailing concept and to bring some vibrancy..

- The final outcome of the almost spinning helix looks very appropriate for the dance music industry when complimented by text and other content.

- As my feedback from peers does suggest how it reflects that of an audio-wave or endless journey that you get sucked into.

I tried out some different layouts and considered how it will best fit in-situ on socials

- Squared for instagram and to ensure no cropping on Facebook previews.

- Reflects back to the music industry this way too with squared album art.

From these developed experiments I was able to put together the final flyer design. 

- Adding finishing touches such as animated transition effects on the content/text

- Subtle glitch effects

- Grain and lens flair to keep the style consistent (reflective of the grungy nature of the underground industry) 

- Punchy and relevant looped song
