603 - Brief 01 - AV8-001 Reflection

Still haven't got the camera set-up spot on but decided we should do a test-stream to get a better understanding of the process and start getting the brand name into peoples mouths! As the set-up isn't fully ready we thought we'd test out the easier phone technique of live streaming
- no green-screen
- AV8 watermark through the Switcher Studio App
- audio converted from the decks to the phone through this..

- With the flyer we started building the hype a few days prior to the stream.
- Testing out more of a professional tone of voice, yet relatable to the younger audience.

- The flyer

- Had problems with equipment to begin with - and then had a powercut!

- Kept the audience as educated as possible about throughout the situation, whilst being as professional as possible, whilst still reflecting our sense of humour and youth through the used tone of voice.

The stream itself was a learning curve for us.
- audio quality = good
- video quality = not the best - low-light didn't help
= kitchen layout did not feel professional at all

- AV8 watermark = present, slightly too large however - don't want it to obtrude content.

- Finally got it up and working but then had to do it as 3 individual streams due to storage on our phone - which lost the engagement and impact of it all (also lost the whole of Ferguson's stream but still had a live engagement with it - just no video to watch back afterwards)

We wanted to be thorough with the engagement of the audience and kept viewers updated on changed set-times and live info of who's stepping up to the decks next.

Being as appropriate as possible for the target audience.

Final Outcomes:

Combined total of
- 1700 people reached, with 668 views
- 66 engagements - likes, shares & comments

Not terrible considering how un-finalised everything is.

Can evaluate from this how we do want to really put extra effort into the pre-production
- Make sure everything is charged, has enough storage and in correct working order
- Get the green-screen up and running for that added interactivity and engagement
- For better stream quality and internet connection go directly through a wired laptop and GoPro (just need the CapCard to be delivered!)
- Stay thorough with the live engagement and interactivity with the viewers - giving updated info and directing them through the stream - links to socials, etc included too?
