603 - Brief 02 - Call for Submission Process & Final

Broken down Storyboards and Animations on After Effects:

Started with the Leeds time-lapses in the background to keep it relevant to our roots and the initial audience of Leeds students.
Used certain hand gestures and behaviours to accentuate transitions

- for example the AV8 logo growing within my hands...
... which then snuggles into the corner and begins spinning similar to in other outputs I've experimented with.
- reflective of a record spinning on a turntable
Keeping it over-the-top relevant to Easter with some panning colourful easter eggs and a green-screened bunny hopping around!
Over-exaggerated pop-ups of press shots of the 'local underground talent'.
- Some the audience will hopefully recognise
- Enables me to start naming names on the platform to encourage artists to share to their personal audiences.
Over-the-top experimental streams!

- went very scientific and smokey with this one to enhance the message...
... and show what we're all about with the green-screen!

- Big explosion to transition between frames

Transition from the green-screen to a psychedelic visual
Attempting to communicate to the audience how their work can be featured
- showing how easy it is to drop content onto the screen behind us.
- Exaggerated with OTT wows and arm movements!

Over-edited - consistent with the meme style

"Whilst us boys are bopping around on the decks, behind us we want to see anything from..."
Showcasing how we encourage submissions of funny videos of your friends, memes, etc

- how it can fit.
- Features a video of Rob dancing infront of the green-screen in a banana suit - comedy gold.
Made use of various green-screen effects like falling money and explosions, etc.
Layered up a load of visual examples of the type of videos people can submit - even just from Youtube - you'll still get a shout out to encourage that interaction
Finished on quite a dark, explicit, sinister note
- as a lot of memes do

Referencing and rounding up the whole viral Shrek meme.

"Get the f**k out of my swamp" with various Shrek is Love, Shrek is life gif memes frantically popping around on the background.
- Starts taking the costume off and throwing it around, being quite aggressive

- Music cuts out to an awkward silence of me cussing and then as I go to take the mask off....

... it freeze-frames and starts zooming in to my face with the Illuminati Confirmed Music playing - referencing another viral meme.

FINAL - https://www.facebook.com/av8.sound/videos/785324415003028/

Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome for the 'call for submission' video as it did reflect that meme-style video you see on a day-to-day basis online
- sarcastic and satirical over editing with brash explosions and outbursts
- keeps the audience engaged through the non-serious, loud approach.

The response to the video on our page was amazing too, reaching over 3.5k people - of which over a thousand of those people actually clicked on it to properly watch it.
- This was an effective way of getting our page onto peoples time-lines, introducing the context to what we are actually offering, and how this is approached differently to anyone else on the market
- we have effectively represented our USP.

- Can keep pushing this content throughout as well, taking shortened clips and bloopers and re-posting it on our social accounts to keep encouraging people to get involved!

- To compliment the post, I included a summary and some initial directions of how to get involved.
- Started with ATTENTION CREATIVES - to catch the desired audiences eye straight away
- Directed submissions to our email through WeTransfer to keep everything consistent and straight-forward
- Also sent it directly to certain motion designers and peers at the Arts Uni who I knew would have work to feature.
