This is an AV8 broadcast
We are a musical platform which will feature weekly to monthly live streams of local underground DJ’s and talent through Facebook.
Similar to the likes of Boiler Room and Yard Sessions we want to be as experimental as possible with the live streams and promote as many different artists as we can - but not just from musical backgrounds, visual too.
Unless you’re a DJ yourself, don’t stress, you can still get your feature..
We have a giant green-screen set up, so will be featuring various looped motion graphics in the background of the streams.
We would love some submissions for this - this can include any personal motion work, or any static art which we can just zoom and pan across.

HOWEVER we understand getting replies & submissions to things like this is a long shot with our busy uni schedules!!
SO WE ASK can everyone take a minute to simply forward us a youtube URL to their favourite meme/funny video which we can put within a looped cycle behind the decks too - we want AV8 to be as interactive as possible so don’t hesitate to get involved!

- The idea was then properly developed into a proper broadcast - addressing the audience in a satirical / meme inspired manor.
In order to boost humour and remain anonymous - similar to in the video in the previous blogpost, the idea came about that I'd dress up.
- I quickly got hold of a friend with a creepy looking Shrek Mask and spinner hat. And then dressed this up further with a silk pattern robe over a big puffer coat, adding gloves, and a ring. - The aim was to create this weird, Northern version of Shrek - who satirically references a rich explicit road-man. Inspired by Big Shaq. But I was going to mimic the over-edited, meme style in the videos shown in my previous research.
- I then re-wrote it in the style of a rough script to follow in the video, as I wanted to be holding sheets of paper anyway - like in the news/Skateline videos:

- Recorded a separate voice recording with a mic for better quality and then synced up the recording with a clap.
- Deliberately accentuated body language to exaggerate what was being communicated

- I put the audio into audacity and messed around with the pitch, tempo and lower frequencies for added anonymity and to be funnier more engaging.
