"I’ve got a bit of work that you might be interested in. I just need some short video transitions making for an event we’re running in London w/c 5th March.
I’m sending them some really quick mock-ups now, but as one of our motion masters, I figure you’re the man to ask. £100 commission on offer here, but I’m hoping this won’t take too long at all.
Fancy it?"

Specifications / guidelines for the videos:
First brief setting emails:
Here (above) are the specs for the video screens as discussed on Friday along with a selection of images cropped for the 2 screen sizes.
Required vids are as follows:
- 2 x rectangular aspect vids for the side screens.
- These will mainly rotate imagery from our back catalogue and play up to the light-box style. No need for crazy transitions, we just want the work to really pop and have time for each image to make an impact. These screens can’t and won’t be synced so no need to fret over that, we just want to avoid any crossover of images
- 1 x square vid for when there isn’t an event on.
- This will be more of the above, except a different set of images, maybe a bit more of regular visibility for our logo as it’s going to be the main thing that people check out.
- 4 x square vids for the various talks.
- Text to stay constant, maybe some subtle motion in the background so that the audience aren’t distracted when the panel discussions take place. I’ve attached a doc with the details of one of the days on, which you can use as a tester. Once we have a style down that we like, I’ll share the rest of the day’s info
SOME INITIALLY DISCUSSED IDEAS:
1. That we show images in a group from each shoot, rather than mixing them all up. That way we can do an intro slide with the photographer and the story name so that the ‘talent’ in question is credited.
2. Maybe we do one of the rectangular screens as photos, the other as illustration. That might clash a bit. For now I’ve only sent photos.
