Because I had a variety of motion-based, digital flyers for each event we would be doing in the first batch of streams, it only seemed fitting to have a summarising poster with all the listings on to advertise the page and first batch of what we're offering on a whole. This can be digitally-based too but I wanted to ensure this could be adapted to a print medium to really ensure we were engaging with a wide spread local audience too - not just through the digital platforms.
INITIAL IDEAS
I had some initial ideas surrounding the concepts of making it as personal as possible to us at AV8, reflecting what we are all about and the actual background of what is behind the lens / screen. This could include focusing on:
- me and all the uni boys, those of which who truly inspired the put together of the page and who share the love of music with me and give me help and support where necessary.
- the whole identity and name surrounds the Ashville House - incorporate somehow
- Make it reflect a homely / family orientated scene?
- Reflect the green-screen somehow - green is an ugly colour but how I could I make it work?
- Whilst still it is considerate of the overall approached style of AV8 - mix of illustration and big brash type, in a grainy and noisey style reflective of the underground industry and where it has been in the past, to what it has developed into today.
I am always wanting to push my digital drawing skills so I did really like the idea of focusing the first season of listings on the boys behind it all and inspiring the flow. Creating this family ethos, which the audience can see and make links to - people want to buy more into what you are doing if it is relatable and they can see the passion and motivation driving the idea - they are more able to get involved and be influenced by the passion that they share.
So taking into account the illustrative style I am inspired by and discussed previously, I began putting together a scene of the boys - piecing together various photographs for the best group photo outcome!
- was constantly updating and developing it as i went
- was going to again be block colour with line drawing to compliment and provide the detail where necessary...

Discussions with my peers suggested to me how I wanted to really reinforce those homely feels that were relevant to us..
- how can I incorporate various items in the piece to reflect our quite boisterous group of mates and the fun we have - that of which is relatable and humorous to the rest of the audience just like us!
- ashtrays, speakers and beer bottles included.
I began adding in the colour, really focusing on each individual element of the piece that was coming together to create the scene - Ferguson's face swap, Ben in the bottom corner and me and Dixie filling the gap in the centre.
- I experimented further with our various skin tones to provide the diversity - was hard to consider I was designing it flat with no shadows, had to represent the right overall tone.
- Implemented some shadows and crease lines to give more detail and more of a £d perspective but did like the exaggerated flat vectorised style - had to add some textures in the hair though to show it wasn't just a solid object.

- The next question for me was I how I planned to bring it to life with animation. I already felt like the piece was pretty hard-hitting, so didn't want to change too much in terms of behaviours of the subjects...
- more so considered how I could move the outer two boys arms for added effect, but then decided it probably was best to not over-complicate and focus on subtly animating the objects which I was going to add around them to create this reflective, homely scene for us.
