505 - 2 - Photography

From the crit I was able to narrow down my illustration responses to 5:

1.  Video games scene
2.  Anti-social Breakfast scene
3.  In-bed but never alone scene
4.  Sea of phones at concerts
5.  The anti-social couple

These responses best summarised the message I am wanting to portray with the campaign, reflecting our loss of empathy and social interaction, as well as our obsession with our phones and the health issues this can have.  I will partner each illustrations with the appropriate content to, in turn, take a step towards resolving my issue.

To get my illustrations further under-way and to give me a rough guide to base the scene around, simply using my iPhone, I got a couple of my house mates to model within the kitchen, bedroom and living room in various positions so I can accurately mimic the human anatomy in my illustrations, aswell as focusing on angles which provide the most perspective and light/shadowing to consider within the sketch..

Different angles of single arm holding up phone for concert (to make up crowd)

Bed scene

I can deliberately select and take out parts of the compositions to simplify it and allow for the introduction of other devices to greater stress my message.
