As I haven't yet had chance to shoot any fresh pics of faces from the LCA family/gather any student work examples, I thought I'd have a go with a simple duplication of some old portrait photos from my Speaking from Experience project last year.
I aim to develop the mosaic by experimenting with the sizing of the images dependant on the colour area, e.g. building the size up in the blue area, so the images direct the attention into the main centre subject.
I can then also match darker images to the shadows of the larger image better and fit them into the image as a real mosaic would.
After some feedback from a house mate, I experimented with how the type can look more legible against the background of faces:
- Revisit the LCA Brand Identity Guidelines manual to keep the aesthetic consistent.

But this large image showcases student work too - film photography by Rob Harper.
- Consider how I can feature students work at the forefront of the promotional stands for uni - reflect just how creative we are as a tight-knit community
With Easter fast approaching, I have realised how this project is going to be left on the back foot slightly, whilst I finalise the smaller briefs and then prioritise COP so it is done first.
My initial time management guidelines are quite unrealistic in the sense of me completing everything before I come back to Leeds and so this is something I must address and plan contingency for.
UPDATED TIMEPLAN
Development - 31/3
(Easter back home)
Production - 02/4
Final - Latest of 25/4
Design Boards for all - ready for deadline on 27/4
