504 - Type in Context - Grids Section 2

For the picture content of Section 2 I used the same grid as in Section 4, a 4x5 grid with 5mm guttering. This was to keep the consistency between the two however with this section I did want to be slightly more experimental with the image placement, due to having lots more different sized photographs with different content that can be ordered together in a still minimal, but more varied way than in the final section of the book.
After my inspiration from the last trip to Village I did immediately try out the single image spread images completely full bleed just to help break the flow of photographs up a bit and keep the viewer interactive with the negative space on the doubled up spreads...

I have changed the sequence flow of this section up too, as there is a lot more visual content to be explored in these images, as we will not just be focusing on the centred source of typography and its context like in section 4. I thought by featuring a full bleed image every other spread it would stimulate the viewer more, enticing them into the characteristics of the city portrayed in my photographs, ready for the next section which will deepen they're understanding of my communicated ideas coming out of Belgrade and tie the publication together as a whole.
I systematically replace the full bleed spreads at various points in the book aswell, to provide some variety and display some portrait photographs too.
I tried to group together the various locations and themes of my photographs throughout the publication, for example, grouping the street art images together and the images taken of the Central Commercial areas, etc...
