We decided that with this deciding presentation (whether our concept gets through to the next level) we would take the opportunity to highlight how we have listened to what they have said to us in the last presentation regarding feedback and then gone off that to finalise our identity proposal for the exhibition.
We opened by discussing how we took what they told us and pushed it into our development and how we re-did the manifesto and contract to better communicate our concept:
"A rare opportunity for the public/guests to mix with the elite members of
the bankers club in order to play a part in deciding the future of the
banknote.
This exclusive evening is focused on viewing, judging and ultimately voting on the banknotes. The public/guests will get the chance to see the work of and meet the most up and coming designers of the north."
We then went down the list of feedback raising the points they made and then providing the response we have made to that point.
The first was the America v.s Leeds point of us Americanising the concept of the exhibition too much. We need to focus on celebrating where we are based rather than creating the feeling of being elsewhere.. Leeds can be prestigious! Calum created a quick mockup of how we could show a famous Leeds view as the scene rather than the States!

Next I was up to talk about the design process behind the changing of the colour scheme and then how we developed the logotype and applied the whole style onto the flyer. Which provided the aesthetic basis to all of the material we produced for it.
I discussed how me and Aneta combined our work together to better the flyers, adding to her wayfinding. I talked about how I have started to take what Katie has done and develop into something more appropriate and consistent. They were unsure of the layout I provided for the back of the invite, but this is something I need to revise anyway.
Harrison then talked about his progress with the social media side to it all..
Followed by a more considered talk by Calum and Sophie suggesting how they aim to actually present work in the exhibition and layout the whole room space..
Overall, we got a much better response to the work and they liked how we had considered their feedback in such depth. Now we just had to finish up the mockups for our proposal and wait to find out if we were going to get picked.
