Still paranoid about the resolution not being of efficient enough quality, I looked into some other possible cover photos with better resolution..
I considered leaving the images in colour but I am going to stick with the initial specification of a desaturated cover. It does better reflect the authenticity behind vinyls, which is why I have decided I will use the second image as he is playing on vinyls rather than the digital CDJS.

1) A very art deco inspired serif typeface, varying stem widths. Not relatable to my content in my opinion, feels more like a high-end fashion mag

3) More simplistic sans serif type.. May reflect the editorial better?
I will need to be conscious of the white border around the cover to ensure if I do spiral bind it, it will not breach the border. I am certain it will not breach the margins of the inner pages as they are 15mm wide but need to be certain on the cover as the width of the border is smaller.
I measured a sample spiral bound notebook and the space required is around 10mm for the holes being punched in. This means I will replicate the inner margins on the cover aswell, for further consistency but also to be safe upon printing.
