603 - Brief 03 - WYS Tee Collab Initial Ideas & Research

Tshirt Ideas 

- I sat down with the Ben and Rob from WYS and they briefed me on their preferred direction for the Tees. We discussed our ideas in-depth and finalised on exploring the concept of togetherness and community.

- Hand holding?
- Collage of faces? - ripped to create one
- Spacey illustration style

Fragment Photographer: Brno Del Zou

Brno Del Zou is a French photographer, 1964, who uses photo manipulation and photographic structure to create a cubism effect. As far as I can tell, he uses at least two images to achieve this effect. I was drawn to these because to me, they create an analysis of each individual part of the face, and each part is framed, created the idea of separation. And, as with every good artwork should, it provokes thought.

- How can I consider the female market too? 
- hand-holding & togetherness?

I like the entanglement of hands, and the simplicity... the artist is not forcing the image to look 3D or to appear 'real', it just looks natural, interesting and fun. A set of lines to follow, all leading into one.

Riethmuller_draws - fine-liner sketches - good inspiration for elements within a shape to go straight on a tee - ideas of togetherness?
