505 - 2 - Animations

After my positive feedback, the next stage was to separate the layers and begin creating the subtle movements within the illustrations.
I have decided to only animate 3 of the final 5 for use online/digital billboards/etc and then use all 5 as printed media for broader distribution.

The kitchen scene -
Considered animating the plant in the window too but decided against it as it took away from the focal points of their devices.
Was fairly straight forward in terms of making the subtle movements happen, just had to create the fingers/arm positions vary slightly each time to give the realistic impression of scrolling, tea stirring.

The Couple scene -
As I decided against having the candle present and flickering to avoid over-complication, I simply wanted the thumbs to be constantly scrolling on this one.

Once on After Effects too I made use of a mask on the screen of the phone (trkmatte) - this allowed me to layer a continuous scrolling effect to the screen in-sync with the timing of the thumbs scrolling...

The Bedroom scene -
It simply required adjusting the opacity of the whole composition in-sync with the phone screen flashing on and off. As previously discussed I then experimented with how the fan can spin to create that extra subtle movement which so effectively draws people in (subtle movements mimic reality)
