504 - Design for Screen - Icon Design

Icons play an essential role within app design as they allow the user to quickly navigate through pages via abbreviated symbols. With the role digital appliances play in our lives nowadays a lot of icons have become universally recognisable and accepted, as they are relevant forms of communication. After building my wireframes it was clear which icons I would need to develop for use within the app. I opted to keep them as simple and obvious as possible to be appropriate for all target audience who may come into contact with them, but they are fairly self explanatory once placed into their context..





































I have also created this rough map mockup of where all the bike stations can be placed around Leeds, taking into account the distances discussed in a previous blog post and in relation to the busyness and the demand for stations around Hyde Park..
