Applying the gun concept, but turning it into a double barrel shotgun I had a go at making my own version which could nicely fit for the cover of the book. But this was to only start getting me comfortable with the using the pen tool properly again, and applying the appropriate colours and gradients into objects, and thinking about how shadows can be portrayed in the same colours but just darker tones, etc.
Before I called it a day, I had a quick experiment with how I may approach a completely typographical response, inspired by the sectioning off lines discussed before and bold serif typefaces.. but I wasn't feeling very inspired!
