505 - 1 - My focus

What am I trying to achieve with my poster?
- Celebrating Headrow House as Leeds' ultimate multi-use events space and how it has transformed the area with its success.
- Headrow are coming up to their 2nd birthday - base it on this? (Is a future event however not past)

Brief requires me to reflect on an actual event to celebrate
- will base my response around the opening of it in general as in the past year and half it has been open my research shows me how it is a hit spot in the city now and has evolved the areas poor reputation, complimenting the creative scene and the specific area it is within in the city - Bramley's Yard (always had a bad rep from previous bar there)

- celebrating the transformation of the space into something positive for the city and the people in it, bringing out more of the creatives, allowing them to be in one place - however they have had that much impact they have expanded again with not just Belgrave but now they are opening Water Lane Boathouse

- The guys behind Headrow, Belgrave and Water Lane are very socially and culturally diverse in their approach to the public houses, the style of the graphics and interior plays a big role in making it feel exclusive yet appropriate for everyone.

Just from the website you can get a feel for how different the various spaces within the building are - they advertise them with a completely different feel to each, whilst at the same time always feeling creative but sophisticated.
They love the modern minimal style, focusing on whites, pastel-y colours and then predominantly greens from exotic plants.

Headrow House's take on the classic beer hall, including over 60 beers from around the world. The hall features the North of England’s first Pilsner Urquell tank installation. Putting Leeds on the map as the first city in the north to sell fresh unpasteurised Czech beer straight from the tank. The hall is open 7 days a week and til late on a weekend.

At the same time, the upstairs event space reflects the buildings industrial past. Offers a great warehouse-y vibe mixed with the contemporary artistic lightboxes bringing it back true to the rest of the identity.

More of a sophisticated feel to the cocktail bar. Strong and charismatic serif typeface, pastel pinks and greens reflect how they are up with modern creative trends.
