504 - Type in Context - Stock
To finish the week, I decided to sort the stock out ready for Monday to quickly test it with print and foiling. Because of the quantity of pages in the second and fourth photography based sections I can't physically use thick stock or else it will be very difficult to fold, resulting in harder stitch binding but also creeping on the spine meaning when I trim the pages they will be out. So I decided I would use Olin 120gsm Olin Extra Blanc Matte Stock for those sections so print quality would be high, partnered with good functionality afterwards aswell. Then for the coloured sections I decided on using GF Smith Colourplan 270gsm to provide that bit of support and structure to the softback book. From the selection beneath I narrowed it down to Scarlett and Adriatic to best represent the colours of Serbia, whilst proving suitable when printing in black ink.
