504 - Type in Context - Image Enhancing
Before I properly started mocking up the images within the publication layout I wanted to revisit the style portrayed in these images and spice them up abit ready for print. Using LightRoom and Photoshop, I wanted to enhance the contrast in my images to really bring out the gritty, darker feel to the city, whilst still upping the saturation to brighten colours and reflect this upcoming of creativity and development which is now taking place aswell. Beneath are some examples of before and afters, to really put it into perspective..

I edited the images whilst they were still in RBG format as CMYK is not compatible with Adobe Lightroom. This simply meant that before importing them into the InDesign format I would first have to import them into Photoshop to adjust the colour mode/profile ready for print. I did find this had some effect on the depth of the colours in the picture, but this was easily fixed with the contrast slider. Anyway, it was only to start mocking them up into a layout as once I confirm my layout structure I will be able to take each individual image size and then adjust them again on Photoshop, with further regards to DPI to ensure perfect print quality.
