Finalising
The O on the cover was something I needed to justify and consider in more depth as it does appear rather irregular. The first image below shows my initial layout. I chose to do this as the overlap further communicated ideas around figure and ground and how negative space can influence perception of something. I experimented with reversing the overlap and even mirroring it on the other side however I have came to the conclusion that it is just not necessary in the cover...
